The Children's Recovery Center assesses about
300 children from Horry and Georgetown Counties
EVERY YEAR.
This non-profit organization is a team of experienced and trained professionals who strive to keep additional trauma to a minimum and avoid re-victimizing the survivors during the process of discovery
through a multi-disciplinary and stream-lined interview process.
Not only does the Children's Recovery Center care for survivors of abuse,
but they have implemented programs to educate adults and children with tools for preventing this tragedy.
These programs teach children about body confidence,
and teach adults how to identify situations that can potentially lead to abuse.
